The Gray Slow Water Emerger is a sexy looking soft hackle fly.  As the name implies, the Slow Water Emerger is an easy choice for lakes, spring creeks or other slow moving waters and would be a good imitation of hatching Callibaetis and other mayflies.  The hackle and body of the Slow Water Emerger are sure to create maximum movement on the fly when trout give it a close inspection while a touch of UV dubbing at the thorax area adds to its appeal.  Fish the Slow Water Emerger as a nymph, just under the surface or as a dropper just behind a dry fly.  It is also one of our favorite flies to recommend for anglers fishing high alpine lakes.
